International Education Week (IEW), from November 18–21, embodies this commitment by offering a series of events celebrating global diversity and learning. Here’s why you don’t want to miss it:
1. Connect with FSW Peers from Around the Globe
Kick-off IEW with “Voices from Around the World” on Monday, November 18 (Lee Campus, Building J, Room 103, at 11:00 AM). Hear international students share their journeys and cultural experiences, fostering connections and understanding.
2. Experience Global Research Excellence
On Tuesday, November 19, witness FSW students’ internationally focused projects at the International Research Presentations and Exhibits (Lee Campus, Building J, at 2:00 PM). Stay for the Undergraduate Research Reception at 3:00 PM to network with presenters and faculty.

3. Prepare for Your Next Global Adventure
On Thursday, November 21, visit the World Languages & Cultures International Festival (Lee Campus, Building J, 11:00 AM–2:30 PM) to learn about passport applications and study abroad opportunities.
4. Immerse Yourself in Cultural Activities
Enjoy hands-on activities like tile painting, henna tattoos, and friendship bracelet-making at the International Festival. Don’t miss the Italian cooking demo and local nonprofits showcasing ways to support SWFL’s global communities.
5. Discover Study Abroad Opportunities
Attend the Faculty Research Spotlight on Thursday, November 21, at 12:30 PM (Lee Campus, Building J, Room 103). Learn about study abroad programs in Italy and enjoy an Italian cooking demo to close the session!
