OTOC Theme for 2025–2026: The Power of Story
The One Theme, One College committee is happy to announce “The Power of Story” is the theme for 2025–2026. Stories have been a cornerstone of human connection and understanding of our world across cultures and eras. Stories are more than entertainment. They are vital tools for understanding the world, shaping our identities, and connecting communities. The theme “The Power of Story” invites us to explore how storytelling influences not just art and culture, but also science, innovation, and human progress.
Stories have the power to inspire change, preserve memory, and foster empathy. Whether you draw on literature, theater, history, or science, we want to hear your ideas for how the FSW community can explore the ways that stories connect and transform. We are seeking your input for events, these could include speakers, roundtables, faculty-led discussions, film screenings, theatrical productions, art exhibitions, community engagement events. How would you engage the FSW community in the power of story?
Please submit your ideas to Brandon Jett any time before March 31st at bjett@fsw.edu.
