FSW is currently applying for institutional accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, the largest USDOE accrediting agency in the U.S. Teams of faculty and staff are currently working on a required document to provide evidence to HLC demonstrating that the College is fulfilling its mission and goals.
Since its founding, the College has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and will continue to do so until approved for transition to HLC.
Accreditation qualifies the College to administer both Pell Grants and military benefits and provides for a smooth transfer of credits between FSW and other postsecondary institutions.
A team of HLC reviewers will be on Lee Campus and at all locations via Zoom Rooms on March 31 — April 1 talking with faculty, staff, and students about their experiences at FSW.
