FSW School of Allied Health Announces Cassie Billian as New Associate Dean
With more than 12 years of experience at FSW and a strong background in student support and program leadership, Billian will continue working to strengthen the allied health programs and expand FSW’s impact throughout the region.
Billian began her journey at FSW as an instructional assistant in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program before transitioning into a student success advisor role, where she spent five years working closely with students.
In 2022, she stepped into leadership as director of the EMT, Paramedic, and Firefighter programs. Since then, she has helped guide the paramedic program through reaccreditation, supported updates to the Associate in Science in Fire Science Technology degree, and contributed to the continued growth of enrollment and program offerings.
Billian holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Public Safety Administration and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology with a focus on curriculum and instruction. In 2026, she was recognized with the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Staff Excellence Award.
“Cassie’s dedication to FSW’s mission, along with her proven ability to drive program growth, accreditation success and student achievement, positions her to lead our Allied Health programs forward,” said Dr. Mary Catherine, dean of the School of Allied Health. “Her institutional knowledge and solutions-focused leadership will be instrumental in advancing our Allied Health programs and strengthening FSW’s role in preparing skilled, compassionate professionals for Southwest Florida’s workforce.”
